Some demo videos screen-captured from the Multiverse virtual world, marked up with explanatory information:
A demo video without explanatory markup:
Some videos recorded in the Xiamen University Artificial Brain Lab, in Xiamen, China (one of the global hotbeds of OpenCog activity).
At the time these videos were recorded (June/July 2009), the lab had just obtained the robots quite recently, and these videos don't showcase any deep AI functionality. They just show the robot getting put through its paces, via being hooked up to some visual pattern recognition and natural language dialogue software.
The plan is to hook the robot up to the same OpenCog AI software used to control the virtual dogs, and to continue OpenCog AI development using both virtual and physical robotics.
The robot videos were filmed by Raj Dye: thanks, Raj!
More interesting robot videos from June/July 2009, including some long philosophical chats between Ben Goertzel and the robot, will be posted here once Raj gets time to edit down the raw footage!
